Education Resources
GOAL: Promote the education resources necessary to provide a quality learning environment that is efficient, safe, progressive and meets the needs of the students and the citizens in their quest for knowledge, life-long learning, and personal growth.
ACTION: Encourage active coordination, cooperation, and support of the school district.
To accomplish this action:
- Identify and support cooperative opportunities between the City and the school district.
ACTION: Ensure coordinated planning of life-long learning and personal growth opportunities in future strategic planning efforts.
To accomplish this action:
- Ensure the continued involvement of the school system, local governments, and citizens with all the community's vested interest.
- Promote learning experiences through other strategic areas, such as:
- recreation facilities
- leisure, library, arts and culture
- health and human services (i.e., CPR classes, swimming classes, aerobic classes, sign language classes, local history classes, art classes, etc.)
